Brewery Tour: Sanford Brewing Company

Stop number three on the Jessamack Brewery Tour is Sanford Brewing Company. This was my first time here and it will not be my last. Located in Downtown Sanford (400 Sanford Ave, Sanford, FL 32771), it’s a must stop if you are brewery hopping in the area. The brewery offers indoor and outdoor seating, it’s not the biggest place so indoor seating may be hard to come by if you are going at a busy time. When I was there it was prime time on a Friday night so it was pretty packed, but we easily found a table outside for three people.Let’s chat about the food shall we? It’s bomb. We only got two appetizers, but from these two items, I’d say the rest of the food is good. People around us were ordering the mac n cheese dishes they have and it made me wish I got one of those also.

Here’s a look at their menu:

The beer is FANTASTIC. Each of us got a flight, they come with four 8oz pours. I always get a flight when it’s available. It’s a great way to try multiple beers without breaking the bank. Then whichever beer you really like, treat yourself to a pint!

The four beers I tried were: Lost Weekender (Shandy/Radler 10.1% ABV), Weiz-Guy (Hefeweizen 5.6% ABV), Weekender (Pale Wheat Ale 4.5% ABV), and Peachy Keen (Saison/Farmhouse Ale 7% ABV)I loved every single one of them, and the Lost Weekender at 10.1% ABV is dangerous. It tasted so good and it would probably be easy to drink too many way to fast. You’ve been warned.

Here is a list of their current beers on tap!

My Precious – Pale Ale – 5.3% ABV

Uptown Brown – Brown Ale – 5% ABV

SMaSH Logger – Lager – 5.5% ABV

Lost Weekender – Shandy/Radler – 10.1% ABV

Flipa – IPA – 6.4% ABV

Route 46 – IPA – 9.1% ABV

Weiz-Guy – Hefeweizen – 5.6% ABV

TOP HAT – Extra Special/Strong Bitter – 5.2% ABV

El Zocalo – Lager – 5.1% ABV

Killa Vanilla Porter – Porter – 5.8% ABV

Celery City – Pale Ale – 5.4% ABV

Choc Berry – Porter – 5.7% ABV

Red Otter – Red Ale (Imperial/Double) – 8.5% ABV

Panty Dropper – Belgian Strong Golden Ale – 10% ABV

Legend – Scottish Export Ale – 7.8% ABV

Peachy Keen – Saison/Farmhouse Ale – 7% ABV

Blu Beary IPA – IPA – 6% ABV

Razzmatazz – Spiced/Herbed Beer – 4.7% ABV

I highly suggest checking out this brewery if you are in or close to Downtown Sanford. I can’t wait to go back to try more of their food and other beers. This is a great place if you are looking for a strong, great-tasting beer.
