It’s about time I write something new on my blog. It’s been my favorite time of the year for some time now and I feel like I owe it to the people that read my blog to start back up again. So here we go!
Horror Nights is a special time of year. It’s when you get to spend 5 days out of the week with your best friends in the fog. This year has been no different.
The event this year has been incredible and I just wanted to share a little bit of my photography with you guys as well as my house rankings just to let you all know I’m still alive.
My initial rankings were as follows:
Houses:
- Ghostbusters
- Stranger Things
- Yeti
- Graveyard Games
- Depths of Fear
- Us
- Killer Klowns
- Universal Monsters
- Nightengales: Blood Pit
- House of 1000 Corpses
Scare zones:
- Zombieland Double Tap
- Anarch-cade
- Vikings Undead
- Vanity Ball
- Rob Zombie Hellbilly Deluxe
Now that the event is over this coming weekend and I’ve been about 30 times, here is my updated house list.
- Universal Monsters
- Yeti
- Graveyard Games
- Us
- Ghostbusters
- Depths of Fear
- Stranger Things
- Nightengales: Blood Pit
- House of 1000 Corpses
Universal Monsters has earned a special place in my heart as the best house of the event. At first it was hit or miss but as the event went on it was consistently amazing and the scare actors really brought it every night.
Now the scare zones are a little different. I didn’t have much hope for any of them this year other than Zombieland and tbh, it’s not my favorite (but it is top three) and I was very disappointed. What surprised the crap out of me though is Vanity Ball. Let’s take a little tour through my favorite scare zones via my photos shall we!
Vanity Ball

Anarch-cade

Zombieland Double Tap

This was my first year really taking photos in the scare zones and it’s honestly probably my favorite hobby right now. Especially in Anarch-cade and Vanity Ball.
I honestly published this post without including my two absolute favorite things from the event this year. Who am I? (Someone who hasn’t posted a blog since June that’s who.) What are those two things you ask? They would be the two shows this year that are absolutely amazing.
I’ll start off with Marathon of Mayhem which is the lagoon show complete with fountains, projection mapping, water screens and kickass music. The first time we watched this we were blown away. I’m sure there are videos of it on YouTube so do yourself a favor and go look it up, you won’t be disappointed.
The second show and probably my all-time favorite thing of the event this year is the Academy of Villians Altered States show. Like holy hell it’s amazing. Last year I wasn’t blown away by their show, I maybe saw it two or three times. This year though, I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve seen it. The music is dope, the dancing is awesome and they brought back the spooky vibe they’ve had in the past. The whole theme of the show is Jekyll and Hyde and it fits in perfectly with HHN.

We still have a couple more days to enjoy this event but it’s quickly coming to an end. If you need me between now and November 3rd, you know where to find me.
This is my first of many new blog posts to come! I’ve been neglecting this site but it’s always been in the back of my head. I want to continue to bring you fun articles and tips and food while still having fun!
See you again soon āš»
